Tax Administration of Kosovo is being supported by experts of Tax Administration of Munich within the GIZ project “Good Financial Governance in Kosovo,” concerning the expansion of operations of the Office for Fines and Administrative Penalties, including the examination of criminal offence cases or transition to OFAP II. This was announced during the meeting held between the Director-General of TAK, Ilir Murtezaj and experts present.
At this meeting the Director Murtezaj emphasized the importance of moving forward this project since, according to him; OFAP II project will affect the advancement of mechanisms in achieving our common objectives for the benefit of the State and taxpayers.
The project of the Office for Fines and Administrative Penalties covers legal provisions related to the fines and penalties for violations, irregularities in the field of taxations, ensuring uniformity, precision and rapidity in case examination towards voluntary fulfillment.
Among the main priorities of Tax Administration of Kosovo is the improvement of key tax processes by implementing many projects which encourage the fulfillment of tax obligations by taxpayers, in view of a modern tax system and facilities for achieving overall objectives.
