The Director-General of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, Ilir Murtezaj, met today with the Minister of Finance, Bedri Hamza, with whom he talked about the activities expected to take place in TAK.
The TAK Director initially informed Minister Hamza about the priority of the tax administration for this year, as well as other activities already integrated in the 2019 Work Plan. Among others, during the meeting with the Minister, Director Murtezaj said that this year hard work will be made towards automating taxpayer services on VAT reimbursement, controls and compulsory collection, with the sole purpose of creating facilities in fulfilling tax declarations and increasing transparency towards taxpayers.
On the other hand, the Minister of Finance congratulated the Director for the new position, emphasizing that his support will be strong in all the requirements related to the achievement of TAK objectives. Likewise, the Minister Hamza highly appraised the role of TAK, stressing that TAK’s success is also a success for the country of Kosovo.
TAK will work with full commitment and professionalism to succeed in collecting the expected government revenue in order to ensure financial stability for the country. Our focus remains to increase the level of voluntary compliance of taxpayers under the Kosovo Tax Legislation.
