Tax Administration of Kosovo during the period January-May 2016 has attained satisfactory results with regard to prevention of fiscal evasion, collection, advancing taxpayer services, and other achievements which directly affect voluntary compliance of tax obligations. In today’s press conference, TAK announced that during this period it has conducted additional activities in the field both during and after working hours in order to handle the process of fiscalisation of businesses with Fiscal Devices in 2,681 taxpayers, whereby as a result of such activities TAK has confiscated 143 non-fiscal printers, and has imposed a total of 782 fines amounting to €133,250.00 against business that were not equipped with a fiscal cash register, did not issue fiscal receipts and did not transmit data to TAK. Moreover, in this five month period, due to the field activities conducted, five (5) units of gambling entities in the city of Prishtina have been closed.

Tax Administration of Kosovo, pursuant to the authority given to it under the Law No. 04/L-080 on Games of Chance, and the Administrative Instruction No. 03/2013, is responsible for administration of entities conducting gambling activity in Kosovo, by licensing such entities, controlling and supervising their activities.
TAK, namely the Department for Special Functions, has organized a meeting with all representatives of gambling entities in Kosovo, who are licensed by TAK to perform such activities.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues preoccupying all entities discharging activities in this field, and to accurately implement and adhere to all legal requirements emerging from the legislation in force in the field of gambling as well as other applicable tax legislation. (more…)

Recently, the Tax Administration of Kosovo reminded all taxpayers of their obligation to maintain books and records, to get fiscal cash registers and use them in compliance with the applicable laws in Kosovo.
During the regular activities during and after working hours, TAK confirmed that a number of taxpayers, regardless of invitation by public notices for installing fiscal devices and using them in compliance with the instruction and the law, failed to comply with this and this causes negative effects in business activities, non-competitive climate and loss for the Kosovo budget.
