“At the meanwhile in TAK we have started and soon we will extend the internal reform process, which aims to further advance the accomplishment of more and bigger tasks within our orientation in order to make domestic revenues dominant in the country’s budget” said Minister Beqaj.
Minister Beqaj emphasized that taxpayers are demanding equal treatment and TAK should be engaged in this regard to provide such a thing, while the opening of this center provides, inter alia, a quicker access to the provision of services by ATK for businesses and citizens.
“We as a Government and Minister of Finance will be committed to expanding the tax base and also for digitization of services by Kosovo Tax Administration. We are also intensely committed to respect the law and require comprehensive cooperation of agencies to disable and fight the tax evasion and the informal economy” said Minister Beqaj.
He said that priority of the Government and the Ministry of Finance is the fight against the informal 
economy and underscored that concrete steps have been taken in implementing the Strategy and Action Plan and the results shown in the first three months of this year in revenue collection by the Customs and Tax Administration are solid arguments that the informal economy can be fought successfully in Kosovo.
“So it is a focused and strong commitment of Kosovo Tax Administration, Customs but also the Ministry of Finance, and in general of the Republic of Kosovo to be more closely with the taxpayer, and fight together the informal economy” said Minister Beqaj
Meanwhile, Director General of Tax Administration of Kosovo, Behxhet Haliti, expressed gratitude to Minister Beqaj for the continuous support given to this institution and said this joint visit with the Minister in Mitrovica region shows once again the commitment and support of the Minister Beqaj for the development of TAK in general.
“Our joint pledge a few months ago was that we will modernize and digitalize the taxpayer service center in Mitrovica and other regions, and it is becoming a reality, all this in view of our commitment to providing quality services. This is rewarded with self-confidence as stated by taxpayers” said Director of TAK.
He stressed that TAK will continue to increase and also launch more new products of special importance as the disclosure of financial statements according to the standards of IFES, in order to facilitate taxpayers in fulfilling the rights and obligations as stipulated by law.
