Within the Continuing Professional Education program, on 21 June 2023, the next information session was held in cooperation with the AAB Institute for Certified Accountants and Auditors, with the topic:
- TAX TREATMENT OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS
Through this session, the members of the AAB Institute for Certified Accountants and Auditors were offered clarifications regarding tax obligations, respectively the way of declaring and paying Value Added Tax and Personal Income Tax, namely Corporate Income Tax, for persons engaged in long-term construction projects and contracts.
More specifically, through this seminar, detailed clarifications were provided on how and when the tax should be declared and paid, both for VAT and PIT/CIT, by the employer, investor and investor-employee.
In this seminar/EVP, examples and exercises were also presented to make the correct understanding of the above topic more possible.
During this seminar, the participants asked various questions related to the presented topic, as well as other questions related to Tax Legislation. For all the questions posed by the participants, adequate answers were provided by the presenter of the seminar.
The lecturer of this session was Mr. Sami Salihu, deputy Deputy Executive Director in the Tax Administration of Kosovo.
