Tax Administration of Kosovo reminds all business activities that they are obliged to keep books and records as required by tax legislation.
Business activities, which create and keep documentation improperly, such as: sales without destination-natural persons, purchases from natural persons, non-documentation and fictional documentation, commodities without origin, inflation of costs, issuance of fiscal coupons by distributors, underestimation of the prices of import, non-issuance of fiscal coupons, keeping stocks and their accuracy, other non-real documentation, lending and continuous losses, will be the focus of TAK, until the objectives of creating a favourable climate for all businesses is achieved.
Tax Administration of Kosovo estimates that there is a considerable number of taxpayers who create and keep the documentation improperly, which causes negative effects on business activities, creates a non-competitive and non-loyal climate for business operations and also creates losses for the budget of Kosovo.
In identifying such cases, TAK, based on its competences, is authorized to take the necessary actions in order to verify the books and records of taxpayers and determine the correct tax obligations.
Only taxpayers, who voluntarily keep and present books and registers in accordance with tax legislation, will not be subject of penalties by TAK.
We invite taxpayers who have not voluntarily fulfilled their obligation - keeping and presenting books and records, to voluntarily make the necessary corrections in order to reflect the real situation of their business, because in this way the Law on the Administration of Tax Procedures provides you with facilities for the additional tax not declared on time.
Our sole aim is to increase voluntary compliance of tax obligations, so we encourage you to comply with your tax obligations in order not to become subject of penalties.
