The Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) once again reminds all persons carrying out economic activities that registering the activity is a legal obligation and helps avoids serious financial and legal consequences.
As part of the project for the formalization of the economy and the establishment of identification labels for registered businesses, TAK will increase field inspections throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
TAK calls on all persons who still carry out unregistered activity to act immediately and voluntarily register with the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (KBRA), before being identified by tax inspectors.
Note:
If unregistered activities are identified during inspections, TAK, in accordance with the Law in force, will undertake the following actions without exception:
- Mandatory registration of the activity and provision with a Fiscal Number;
- Application of the applicable fines and legal sanctions.
Voluntary registration avoids penalties and contributes to fair competition in the market.
In addition, TAK requires all registered taxpayers to verify and update their data in the tax system, as failure to update information constitutes a legal violation.
The Tax Administration of Kosovo remains committed to combating the informal economy and building a fair, transparent and equal tax system for all.
Register today – do not wait for the inspection!
Become part of the formal economy.
