Director Murtezaj stated that TAK has achieved impressive results in the revenues collection during the period January-June 2024, emphasizing that the revenues collected have exceeded expectations, reaching 473.3 million euros, which indicates an increase of 50.1 million euros more compared to the same period last year. This success is attributed to the improvement of collection processes and the increased commitment of taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations.
During this period, TAK implemented 15,442 intensive activities for the prevention of tax evasion and tax education. These activities have helped increase awareness of tax obligations, contributing to improving compliance and reducing tax evasion. Likewise, one of the main achievements of TAK has been the advancement of digitization processes. The implementation of new electronic platforms has significantly simplified the procedures for submitting tax declarations and payments, which since the launch of EDI are: 25.1 million E-declarations, with a total of 164,293 taxpayers registered on the platform. This has resulted in increased efficiency and transparency, enabling businesses to fulfill their obligations more easily and quickly.
TAK has strengthened cooperation with other public institutions and international organizations, establishing partnerships aimed at combating fiscal evasion and improving tax administration. These collaborations have resulted in the exchange of information and best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of TAK services.
The Tax Administration of Kosovo remains committed to continuing to improve services and increase revenue collection, thus contributing to the financial stability and economic development of the country.
We thank all taxpayers for their cooperation and support and encourage you to continue to fulfill your tax obligations.
