A significant increase in tax revenues was also recorded for the period January-July 2024, which is worth 577.3 million euros. These figures show the increase in the performance in the collection of tax revenues if we compare it to the same period last year, for which we see that the increase is for 62.4 million euros or 12.1% of taxes.
A number of structural and administrative reforms have been implemented, which have had a direct impact on improving revenue collection. Digitization or automation of services to taxpayers and citizens, in addition to increasing voluntary declarations, has also helped to increase transparency and efficiency in tax collection.
Intensive campaigns have been developed to raise the awareness of citizens and businesses about the importance of paying taxes and the benefits they bring to our society.
The priority of the tax authority’s activities remains the fight and prevention of the informal economy, for which we have intensified efforts to fight fiscal evasion through stricter controls. These measures have contributed to increasing tax revenues and creating a fairer competitive climate.
The results of these efforts are evident. Tax revenues have increased, surpassing the planned level and providing important financial resources for the realization of public projects and the improvement of services for our citizens.
This achievement is a clear signal of our commitment to create a fair and sustainable tax system, which fulfills the needs of the state and helps the economic development of the country.
We as TAK will continue to work with dedication to implement the necessary reforms and to further improve our tax system.
