Within the inter-institutional cooperation and exchange of professional experiences in the field of tax administration, the General Director of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, Mr. Mentor Hyseni, together with associates, received the delegation of the Tax Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, consisting of Mr. Admir Omerbašić, Acting Director of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Sabahudin Ibrahimagić, Head of the Zenica Cantonal Tax Office and Mr. Muamer Dautbegović, Head of the Sector for Inspections, Notifications and Investigations.
During the visit, representatives of both administrations developed professional discussions on many topics of common interest, i.e., legal framework regulating international tax cooperation, as well as its advantages and disadvantages, management of tax debt collection, and digitalization and technological developments within the Kosovo Tax Administration.
The meetings presented the institutional practices and experiences of each administration, with a focus on advancing tax processes, increasing operational efficiency and strengthening international cooperation in tax administration.
Representatives of the Kosovo Tax Administration emphasized the importance of exchanging regional experiences and building professional partnerships, which contribute to the modernization of tax administrations and improvement of services delivered to taxpayers.
The visit was considered an important opportunity to deepen cooperation between the tax institutions of Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to identify best practices in the field of tax administration and digital transformation.
