The Senior Management of the Tax Administration of Kosovo held a meeting with international donors – the European Union, the IMF, GIZ, as well as representatives from the Embassy of the United Kingdom, the Embassy of Switzerland and the Embassy of Luxembourg, where the latest developments in TAK, the support so far and the priorities for the next phase were discussed.
The Director General of TAK, Mr Mentor Hyseni, appreciated the continued support of international partners, emphasizing that their contribution has been decisive in the modernization of tax administration over the years. He emphasized that technical assistance, digitalization projects and support in building professional capacities have helped TAK become a more transparent, efficient and taxpayer-oriented institution.
International partners and donors, in their comments, praised TAK’s progress, emphasizing that international institutions are seeing tangible results and clear commitment to implementing reforms. They emphasized that TAK has demonstrated readiness for modernization and good governance, fully justifying the support provided so far and creating a strong foundation for new development projects.
During the meeting, Mr Hyseni presented TAK’s expectations for further support in the next strategic projects.
In conclusion, donors and TAK reconfirmed the common will to deepen cooperation and support projects that will advance the transformation of tax administration in Kosovo, in line with international best practices.
