The latest report from UNDP, Public Pulse XXVI shows that the level of perception of corruption in the Tax Administration of Kosovo has dropped significantly to 17.1%, as compared to 26.40% last year. The numbers show the continuous efforts to improve the transparency and efficiency of the institution.
The decline in the perception of corruption comes as a result of strict measures that have been taken to improve internal governance, increase accountability and implement new anti-corruption reforms.
These measures include:
- increasing transparency: introducing clearer and more open procedures for dealing with tax issues.
- control and supervision: strengthening internal control mechanisms and independent inspections.
- training and education: organizing regular trainings for staff on best practices for preventing corruption.
- public engagement: awareness campaigns to encourage citizens to report suspected cases of corruption.
We are committed to continuing with reforms and improvements to ensure that this positive trend continues and further increase public trust in our tax system.
