Today, in an official ceremony held at the premises of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, the handover of the duties of the General Director of TAK took place.
After the end of his mandate, Mr. Ilir Murtezaj handed over the duties to the new General Director, Mr. Mentor Hyseni, who was selected after a regular recruitment procedure and in accordance with legal requirements and criteria.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Finance, Labour and Transfers, Mr. Hekuran Murati, who expressed his gratitude to Mr. Murtezaj for the work and results achieved during his mandate, emphasizing that his contribution has been important in increasing budget revenues and improving tax services. Minister Murati also congratulated Mr. Hyseni on his new duty, offering the full support of the Ministry to further advance reforms and strengthen the culture of accountability and transparency in the Kosovo tax system.
Mr. Murtezaj expressed his gratitude to the TAK staff for their cooperation and dedication during his years in office, emphasizing that the success of the institution is the result of joint work. He wished success to the new director Mr. Hyseni in achieving the strategic objectives of the Tax Administration.
On the other hand, Mr. Hyseni expressed his gratitude for the trust given and emphasized that he will exercise his duty with professionalism, integrity and dignity, prioritizing increasing transparency, improving efficiency, and services to taxpayers. He also pledged to work closely with the TAK staff and institutional partners to guarantee the fair and equitable collection of budget revenues, in accordance with the law and in the best interest of the public.
