Today, in an official ceremony, has been signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Tax Administration of Kosovo and Labour Inspectorate, which aims to enable TAK and LI to work closely together in improving institutional efforts to deal with undeclared work through better exchange of data, information, experiences, as well as through organization of joint activities.
The Director of TAK, Mr. Ilir Murtezaj, stated that this Memorandum of Cooperation was compiled on the basis of consultations, discussions and concrete commitments taken by the Tax Administration of Kosovo and Labor Inspectorate, in recognising potential opportunities for improvement of institutional efforts to deal with undeclared work in Kosovo through close cooperation, real time exchange of data between the two institutions.
On the other hand, the Chief Inspector of the Labour Inspectorate, Mr. Hekuran Nikçi, stated that the Memorandum in question is in function of the establishment and further facilitation of inter-institutional coordination and cooperation based on the fact that undeclared work is a complex phenomenon, which is influenced by interaction of various economic, social, institutional and cultural factors and that dealing with causes and consequences of undeclared work requires a balanced, coordinated and comprehensive approach between the two institutions.
