The Tax Administration of Kosovo welcomed the Director General of the General Directorate of Taxes of Albania, Mr. Ilir Binaj, on a working visit. He was received by TAK Director General Mr. Mentor Hyseni, together with the institution’s senior management team.
The visit took place within the framework of the ongoing cooperation between the two tax administrations, with the aim of exchanging professional experience, sharing best practices, and advancing tax administration processes.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of issues of strategic importance, including revenue collection strategy, taxpayer communication, enforced collection procedures, the management of outstanding tax liabilities, as well as practices that contribute to increased tax compliance and administrative efficiency.
TAK’s Director General, Mr. Mentor Hyseni, praised the level of cooperation between the two institutions and emphasized the importance of exchanging professional experience and expertise to address common challenges and strengthen institutional capacities.
“The close cooperation between the tax administrations of Kosovo and Albania is an important element in modernizing work processes, increasing operational efficiency, and providing higher-quality services to taxpayers,” Mr. Hyseni stated.
For his part, Mr. Ilir Binaj expressed his readiness to continue and expand inter-institutional cooperation, emphasizing the importance of sharing successful practices and coordinating efforts in areas of mutual interest.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening professional cooperation, developing joint activities, and exchanging experiences that contribute to enhanced institutional performance, improved tax compliance, and the advancement of reforms in tax administration.
