Non-Declarants of Personal Income

 

The newest project of the Tax Administration of Kosovo on the non-declaration of Personal Income aims to address the concern of the lack of declaration of income of individuals. This initiative aims to reduce tax evasion and ensure that all citizens and residents of Kosovo contribute to the tax system according to the law.

 

Through this plan, TAK will carry out activities with the aim of identifying persons who do not declare and pay tax obligations correctly. The project will include an information campaign that will remind citizens of their legal obligation to declare income regularly. In addition, monitoring and control mechanisms will be improved and expanded to identify possible cases of non-declaration.

 

The Tax Administration will focus on raising public awareness and, in this regard, will organize educational seminars and distribute informational materials intended for potential taxpayers. Also, care will be taken to facilitate declaration procedures and encourage the use of digital platforms to make tax declarations more easily.

 

The new project aims to positively influence the efficiency of the tax system, increasing tax revenues and helping to develop the country in a sustainable and fair manner. This project has an important role in creating an equal fiscal environment and increasing citizens’ awareness of the importance of their contribution to public finances.
