Tax revenues for the period January-August 2024 have marked a significant increase compared to the same period last year. Revenues for this period have increased by 62.9 million euros, reflecting positively on the on-going efforts to improve performance and the implementation of strategic reforms.
The total revenue collected has reached 642.0 million euros in taxes, thus marking a stable increase for the state budget. This increase is directly related to the implementation of important reforms aimed at improving effectiveness and increasing transparency.
The reforms undertaken that include the digitization of work processes, the treatment of tax debts, the creation of channels for reporting corruption cases, the fight against tax evasion, the increased responsibility and accountability are only some of the reforms that have helped to increase performance.
