The progress of the Tax Administration of Kosovo in the collection of tax revenues over the years is contributing more and more to the increase of budget revenues and the well-being of the country’s citizens. These achievements reflect TAK’s continuous commitment to improving services and transparency, as well as to supporting taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations in a timely and accurate manner.
The Tax Administration has managed to collect tax revenues, exceeding the forecasts and planned objectives. The success is attributed to a number of factors, including the reforms implemented in recent years, as well as the automation of work processes, which have facilitated the fulfillment of tax obligations, increasing efficiency and reducing bureaucracy. At the same time, a lot of work has been done on awareness campaigns and continuous tax education of taxpayers, which has resulted in increased voluntary compliance and reduced tax evasion. Also, with the strengthening of controls and inspections, the improvement of control and inspection procedures has helped to identify and correct irregularities in an effective manner.
All these reforms have been positively evaluated in the reports of international organizations. The last is the assessment made by the International Monetary Fund – IMF, in which the trend of increasing tax compliance and the management of fiscal risks is emphasized. The Tax Administration of Kosovo is committed to continuing with the improvement of its processes and services, with the aim of increasing revenue collection and improving the country’s economic climate. TAK is encouraged by the positive international evaluations and will continue to work to achieve even better results in the future.
