The General Director of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, Mentor Hyseni, together with Deputy Director Sami Salihu, participated in the international conference “From Reform to Results: Evidence on the Impact of Reform on Tax Administration”, organized by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue in Greece, in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. The conference was held in Athens and brought together tax administration leaders, international experts and representatives of financial institutions from various countries in Europe and the region, with a focus on institutional transformation, digitalization, the use of artificial intelligence and the impact of reforms on tax administrations.

Within the session “Sequencing of reforms and sustainability – Which choices in the sequencing of reforms were the most important and why?” Director Mentor Hyseni presented the topic “Sequencing of reforms and sustainability – Building trust, fostering growth”, where he shared Kosovo’s experience in the tax administration reform process, emphasizing the importance of building trust with taxpayers, advancing digital services and creating a modern, transparent and efficient administration.

On this occasion, Director Hyseni stated that the transformation of the tax administration is not measured only by the increase in revenues, but also by the ability to build trust, transparency and modern services for taxpayers. Only through sustainable reforms and digitalization can we create an environment that fosters economic development and the strengthening of institutions.
