PRESS RELEASE – Tax Administration of Kosovo and the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor held a meeting with public institutions regarding the development of the platform for criminal investigations on intelligent data

The Executive Director of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK), Mr. Ilir Murtezaj together with the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, namely Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, supported by the UNDP Office in Kosovo, through the SAEK III Project, held a joint meeting with the institutional actors of the Republic of Kosovo for the intensification and coordination in function of the development of the platform for criminal investigations on intelligent data, which platform derives from the joint agreement between OCSP and TAK.

This agreement aims to have a positive impact on reducing the level of corruption in Kosovo, by strengthening the monitoring and supervision mechanisms of the institutions to perform their functions efficiently, transparently and responsibly.

This workshop was attended by leaders of public institutions from: Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK), Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK), Kosovo Customs, Civil Registry Agency, Cadastral Agency, Property Tax Department within the Ministry of Finance, where, in addition to the coordination of inter-institutional activities, the aim is also to agree on the modalities of cooperation in the future.
