The Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) today inaugurated its newly relocated Taxpayer Service Center. This facility aligns with the institution’s vision for a highly functional, citizen-centric administration to meet the needs of taxpayers.
During the ceremony, TAK’s Director General Mentor Hyseni underscored that the center represents a pivotal milestone in modernizing the institution and elevating the quality of services provided to both citizens and the business community.
Director Hyseni stated that this investment is not just a change of space, but a testament to the institution’s commitment to building a modern, efficient tax administration that is closer to citizens and businesses. According to him, the goal is to ensure that all taxpayers receive better, faster and more transparent services.
Hyseni also stressed that the investment extends beyond a physical relocation, serving as a testament to TAK’s commitment to building a modern and efficient tax administration that is more accessible to citizens and businesses.
Hyseni emphasized the institution’s objective to strengthen the culture of institutional service by establishing elevated communication and taxpayer support standards.
The Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers, Hekuran Murati commended TAK’s dedication to service advancement and digitization of tax processes, underscoring the critical role of strengthening public institutions in driving economic development and increasing public trust.
Minister Murati highlighted that TAK’s modernization and improvement of services for citizens and businesses are integral to ongoing reforms aimed at increasing institutional efficiency and fostering a more favorable economic climate.
TAK remains dedicated to ensuring that tax services are streamlined, transparent, and universally accessible. Reflecting this commitment, the administration provided 53,749 taxpayer services over the past year, alongside processing 18,462 general statements and issuing 92,473 tax certificates. Of these, 67,272 documents were issued as electronic certificates, 22,301 were processed over the counter, and 2,900 were facilitated via the integration of the TAK system into the e-Kosova platform, successfully optimizing both digital and physical service channels.
In parallel with service advancements, TAK is investing heavily in strengthening professional capacity. The recent vacancy announcement for tax inspectors and debt collectors underscores this institutional commitment to increasing operational efficiency, improving flexibility, and building a tax administration that responds dynamically to modern developments and evolving demands.
