Today, the Director General of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, Mr Mentor Hyseni, hosted a meeting with representatives of the Joint Investigation Teams (JIT) Project of the British Embassy, as part of an informational visit with Mr Alan Edwards, JIT mentor.
During the meeting, the importance of institutional cooperation for strengthening the rule of law and improving efficiency in combating organized crime and tax evasion was discussed.
Mr Edwards possesses extensive professional experience in this field. In his new role, he will be supporting law enforcement institutions – including the Tax Administration of Kosovo – in the establishment and functioning of the JIT, contributing to the creation of a successful precedent that will facilitate the handling of other cases more effectively.
Director Hyseni highly appreciated this support, emphasizing the readiness of TAK to be an active part in joint processes of inter-institutional cooperation aimed at strengthening integrity and transparency.
