Tax Administration of Kosovo ( TAK ) informs the public that the information published on social media by the individual Fisnik Çerkini, regarding the “closure of a business” in the name of the TAK, is false and misleading.
In relation to this matter, TAK provides the following clarifications:
- The Kosovo Tax Administration has not authorized any action involving the use of its logo, name, or institutional identity in a way that suggests the institution has decided to close any business.
- Any unauthorized use of the TAK’s logo or elements of its institutional identity poses a risk of misinformation to the public and undermines the credibility and integrity of the institution, which operates in full compliance with the principles of legality, professionalism, and transparency.
- The unauthorized use of official symbols or elements of the TAK’s identity constitutes a violation of administrative ethics and may result in legal consequences. According to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (Articles 407 and 409), the unauthorized use of official documents or symbols may entail criminal liability.
Tax Administration of Kosovo completely distances itself from this publication and calls on all citizens and businesses to obtain official information exclusively through the TAK’s official communication channels.
