Director of Tax Administration of Kosovo, Mr. Behxhet Haliti, attended the forum of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development – OECD on Tax Administration which was held in Turkey, namely in Istanbul on 15 and 16 September 2010.
This forum was attended by Directors of Tax Administration of more than 40 countries worldwide, where they discussed a range of issues relating to the administration of tax systems in the current economic climate. Participants of this forum expressed their commitment to improving services to taxpayers, to balance the need for speed and integrity in carrying out repayments and tax credits.
They also confirmed their commitment to support the Tax Administrations in the developing and promoting economies.
During his stay, Mr. Haliti met many of his counterparts, with whom he discussed the possibilities of increasing cooperation 
between Kosovo and OECD member countries, getting support and being so agreed to continue meetings of mutual cooperation. He also thanked the representatives of this organization for their support given to TAK, so far through the training centers in Ankara and Vienna.
This was the first time that the Tax Administration of Kosovo attended the OECD Forum on Tax Administration.
